The future of light

The issue of energy saving and planning of light, with a view to respecting the environment is of increasing importance and relevance in the light of regional guidelines on light pollution and energy saving. The light is becoming increasingly important in both the urban and architectural context of energy savings in space exploitation and historical tourism. Criteria lead to inefficient energy waste and unnecessary costs of construction and maintenance. In addition, the light emitted skyward from the current system does not permit the night vision of the stars. Scientific research, design and construction of public lighting systems adequate to bring many benefits, including savings in development costs and management, reduction of energy consumption and light pollution, improve safety and livability of cities, access to finance.
